Kick off your boots. Pour yourself a cup of coffee. Stay awhile. There is always room for one more at our table.
“We believe in living fully in the moment, embracing both the good and the hard, learning from our mistakes, and loving deeply every single day.”
We’re so glad you’re here
The Jensen Homestead is a growing collection of recipes, skills, prayers, stories, and traditions centered on faith, family, hospitality, hard work, and gratitude.
Some days dinner is homemade from scratch. Other days it is frozen pizza after a long shift. Either way, the people around the table matter more than the meal.
Welcome home, friend.

Our story
Jessica grew up with Christmas cookies at Grandma’s, friendship bread from Mom, homemade pizza nights, crockpot meals, grilling, and a large family gathered together.
Today, The Jensen Homestead is being built around that same feeling: a spacious, rustic, well-used home filled with love, laughter, learning, faith, hard work, fresh bread, supper on the stove, the grill outside, and animals nearby.

Heritage recipe
“Every legacy begins with something small.”
This is more than the beginning of sourdough. It is the beginning of a tradition we hope will live on for generations.
Do not compare your first loaf to someone else’s hundredth. Every confident baker once stood exactly where you are now.
Family tradition
Coffee with creamer. Something spiritual playing softly. Sixty to seventy degrees and sunny. Caden tilling. Tomatoes going in first. Oaklynn helping with seeds. Waylen playing in the grass.
“Don’t step in the plants!”
Cookies or bread bake inside while fresh grass drifts through the windows. It is chaotic, fun, full of love, and over too quickly.

What ordinary moment made your home feel warm today?
Lord, help us choose people over perfection, gratitude over hurry, and love in the ordinary moments. Amen.
